Grading
HTA Grading system

How often can you Grade
- You must have a minimum of three months between each grade; six months between Black Tag to black belt. It is important to know all of your grade patterns/poomsae correctly. Failure to do this on the grading day can result in a full failure of the test. This is especially so when conducting a black belt grading test. Kup grade tests get increasingly demanding as you go higher due to th technical demands of previous knowledge gained from each grade. This can and will increase techniques that can be asked of a grader at a test. So practice makes perfect, and the more you practice the better you become.
- The time to it takes to reach the Grade of black belt is dependent on how hard you train and how often you attend classes, a student that attends only ONCE a week will not learn as effectively as someone who trains regularly. A person that trains regularly and learns well can get a black belt grade in three years. Some do take longer, but this also depends a lot on life's other demands as we strive to look after our bodies when we train.
A Double grade is achievable in Taekwondo you need 90100% of the grade mark this is extremely hard to get, this means that you can jump up 2 belts
